Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit, an Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hain Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is among the most well-known Indian actors. Her career began in the 80s before coming to prominence with her performance in the film Tezaab in which she was a part of the cast with an established actor Anil Kapoor. Her subsequent appearance on screen was Dil along with Aamir. Born into an Mumbai middle class family and began dancing when she was a child. In her early years, when she started to perform as an actress, most of the films that she made weren't successful. Her fame grew and she became one of India's leading film actors. Following her marriage was over, she took a few months away from performing until she returned. Recently, she had an integral part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women living in India. Dixit was nominated fifteen times to win Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of the awards. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is the fourth most prestigious civil award in India. She also has a reputation for her social activism.
